She recently hit out at Hollywood’s obsession with weight and stated that ‘an actress doesn’t need to be skinny to be attractive’.

So being the outspoken star she isΒ Jennifer LawrenceΒ has now admitted that she’s not a fan of the food served during award shows.

Revealing that she now eats before attending such events, the 25-year-old quipped that chicken nuggets should be added to the menu at red carpet affairs.

Speaking toΒ Radio 1’s Scott Mills, Lawrence told how food at major events on the showbusiness calendar is usually ‘horrible’.

She said: ‘Oh no, it’s always horrible. I was talking about this last night.Β With fancy food when you go to these cocktail parties, and I sound like such a brat cause it’s like awards season and I’m very grateful and yeah.

‘But like when you’re hungry and you’re drinking and then they’re like this is a roasted date stuffed with cilantro and goat cheese and it’s like, if you brought out chicken nuggets everyone would be so happy. You don’t have to do this!’

However now an experienced attendee come award season, Jennifer added that she now has a routine which stops her stomach from grumbling whenever the food isn’t up to par.

She asserted: ‘I just always eat the bread baskets so that I don’t care by the time it gets to me, what kind of ‘Woolfgang Puck fancy doesn’t even look like food’ thing arrives, I’m already full of bread and wine I’m like I’m good I don’t even know what that is.’

Lawrence added: ‘I eat before I go and then I eat the bread and then I eat the meal and then I eat at the after party.’

Meanwhile the Hunger Games star recently toldΒ GraziaΒ thatΒ an actress should be ‘judged on talent’ not looks as she condemned Hollywood.

She explained in the new interview: ‘I hate all the focus on weight and size that you have in our business. I don’t think an actress needs to be skinny to be attractive and it sends the wrong message to young women.

‘It’s important that, as actresses, we need to establish ourselves first and foremost for our talent and not for our physical appearance.’
