Taylor Swift will reportedly not be performing at the 66th annual Grammy Awards this weekend

Swift’s next leg on her Eras Tour is scheduled to take her directly to Japan, as People reports. Her performances in Tokyo are set for February 7, 8, 9, and 10.

After that, the singer will spend the remainder of the month performing in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.

Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year are among the six Grammys that Swift is vying for.

Taylor’s highly regarded album Midnights and its lead track Anti-Hero, which garnered some of the finest reviews of her career, were the main reasons for her nomination.

The song was nominated for Song of the Year, which honours songwriters, and Record of the Year, which honours the artists who recorded the song along with its producers and engineers.

For writing Anti-Hero, Taylor and her frequent partner Jack Antonoff received a Song of the Year nomination.

For the song, she was also nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance, and for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, she was nominated for her duet with Ice Spice, Karma.

Her other nominations included one for Album of the Year, one of the top awards, and Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights.

In the Album of the Year category, where she is now tied for three prior victories with legendary singers and musicians Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, and Stevie Wonder, the Eras Tour artist is set to create history.

People reports that Swift, 34, will not be hitting the stage as a performer due to her tour schedule

However, if Midnights succeeds, she might become the first person to win in the category four times at the 2024 event.

For most of the year, Swift will be on her international tour; her last performance of 2024 is slated for December 8 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, recently confirmed he won't be able to attend the Grammys due to the upcoming Super Bowl

By the end of 2024, she will be in the United States, making three dates in early November in Indianapolis after spending the entire month of October in Miami and New Orleans.

Travis Kelce, Swift’s boyfriend, reportedly stated that he will not be attending the Grammy Awards in order to support his girlfriend due to Kansas City Chiefs practice leading up to the Super Bowl.

However, I believe I have practice on Sunday; is Sunday a travel day? No, I have practice on Saturday, and Sunday is my day off. I have to prepare for this historic Super Bowl.
