A small cat curled up on the side of the road, but as I approached, I saw that it was covered in blood. It seemed like it had been hit by a car. A woman hurriedly took it to the hospital. Its injuries were severe, with one eyeball ejected, blood clots formed on it, and it was continuously bleeding.

The doctor quickly examined it and acknowledged that it might be bleeding from its lungs. The kitten was very agitated, even scratching the doctor’s hand. However, the blood on its eyes was treated, and shortly after, it calmed down.

People advised the woman to euthanize it, but she couldn’t give up. She hoped that it could overcome the difficulties. The next day, the kitten had a much better spirit and kept meowing. The doctor said its eye needed surgery to reposition it soon. Since it couldn’t be anesthetized, it would be monitored in the hospital for a few days.

The woman opened a can of food for the kitten, and luckily, it was able to eat. Although the kitten had a strong will to survive, its condition was still not promising. On the third day, the woman visited it at the hospital. Its mouth was completely torn inside, showing the strong impact of the collision.

The woman changed its headgear and fed it canned food with a small spoon. However, perhaps its mouth was too painful, after a few bites, it refused to eat and kept crying. The woman visited it every day to encourage it, saying that she was saving it and loving it.

On the fourth day, the kitten’s eye surgery was completed. Its eyes could now open slightly. Every time the woman called, it responded warmly. She felt relieved when she saw it defecating easily. However, the wound on its mouth had not completely healed, and eating and drinking were still very painful.

The woman patiently comforted it, and her companionship and care earned the kitten’s trust. The kitten became very close to everyone. The doctor said it was a male cat and had been neutered early. It seemed like it had an owner before.

On the fifth day, the stitches on the kitten’s eyes were removed. The doctor also inserted a nasal tube to help it breathe more easily. However, its mouth still caused a lot of pain, and it couldn’t eat anything. It could only be fed through the nasal tube.

Its left eye was temporarily preserved, although it couldn’t see anything. But at least the eyeball was intact and looked fine. The doctor fed it through a syringe, delivering the food into its body through the syringe.

The woman fed the kitten canned food, and it behaved very well. Perhaps it sensed the love from kind-hearted people, and this helped it overcome the difficulties. Hopefully, the little kitten would recover soon.

Every time she visited the kitten, the woman put the food into a blender and ground it into a powder for the kitten to eat through the nasal tube. She worried about the kitten not getting enough nutrients, so she bought beef to mix with the food for the kitten. The kitten received intravenous fluids daily at the hospital and was given antibiotics, pain relievers, and nutritional supplements.

The kitten was truly suffering, but thanks to the woman’s meticulous care, its condition improved day by day. On the 10th day, the woman took the kitten back home. From then on, it became a cat living in a warm house. At first, it was still timid, but after two days, it became braver and joined the local group in the garden. It curiously looked around and seemed very content with its new home.

The kitten still needed to take medication on time, and the woman would carefully put eye drops into its eyes. She believed that under her careful care, the kitten would definitely become healthier.
