17-Pound Bony Pitbull Experiences Cuddling and the Feeling of a Full Belly

Reese was discovered on the street. No one could understand how this little baby managed to stay alive. You could see every bone of her small physique as her body was in such a state of disarray. What kind of person would allow something like that to happen? What kind of person would do something like that to you?

Animal Control was informed and Jersey Pits, a local rescue group, was contacted in hopes of preserving his life. They provided a photo of his dog sleeping in the back seat of the car. Everyone who saw the image began to cry.

She was grateful for the countless kisses she received from her new human friends, even when she couldn’t lift her head. It would be an understatement to say that she was a loving dog. No dog deserves to be in such a terrible circumstance, but a dog like Reese, who clearly has so much love to offer, stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Reese’s medical team performed the necessary operations to help her recover. She was a diva who demanded a lot of attention. She was able to stand for a short period after a week in the hospital. It was a modest triumph, but it was something!

Reese took his first steps on his own a few weeks later. She was “sitting” and wagging her tail as instructed. She was discharged from the hospital after a month and she returned to her doctor’s foster home.

Reese’s foster mother, Ryn, said she was scared the entire car ride, but “came to life” once she arrived at her foster home and realized she was safe. She grabbed the toys excitedly and started playing with them. Reese was finally inside a home where she was welcome and cared for.

Reese transformed into a “real dog” in the blink of an eye. She would run to the couch and demand to be entertained. In fact, she blossomed after she was well enough to go for walks. She understood that there was a great cosmos out there waiting to be found.

Ryn admits in the video that she had to untie Reese’s collar every morning when they got up. It was a major milestone as she indicated that Reese was gaining weight and her health was improving! Reese’s health is improving and she is gaining weight. While Ryn heals, she stays with her.

She will be available for adoption soon and everyone who knows her believes she would be a great addition to any family. We are delighted that Reese was identified and revived so soon. Thanks to all the animal heroes who persisted!
