A passing pedestrian, Mr Xiong, rushed to help the puppy and was bewildered by its hesitation to abandon its deceased partner.

The little dog appears to be looking at the camera and asking for help with high-pitched, sad howls.

The video, which was taken on October 25, shows the deceased dog lying face down while the injured dog stands over him.

Mr. Xiong had no choice but to leave the dead dog behind and take the live one.

He said he had returned it wrapped in an article of clothing.

Mr. Xiong brought the last stray dog ​​to work, where his co-workers fed the weak puppy.

He and his employees couldn’t keep the dog, so they put it in a cardboard box and took it to a nearby animal shelter.
