Meet Eeyore. The little dog who has had the worst possible life is safe at Stray Rescue St. Louis; He has already captured the hearts of his saviors.
He is bleeding and has open wounds, and is suffering from an extreme case of scabies. “As if his life wasn’t bad enough, he simply tested positive for the deadly disease canine parvovirus (parvo),” the rescue group said of photos of the dog now nicknamed Eeyore on its Facebook page. And, as is often the case with Dogs rescued from the harshest situations and places, these generous spirits rarely blame anyone.
“When you touch it, it just melts. All he wants is to be loved and caressed. “Those sad eyes are unbearable.”
Eeyore is being treated with medication and is drinking and eating, both signs that he is fighting for his life.
