At this year’s Billboard Music Awards 2016 , Justin Bieber was nominated in 11 categories and took home two awards: Outstanding Male Artist and Top Social Network Artist. Justin Bieber also performed the songs Company and Sorry from his new album Purpose . Despite receiving a lot of support from the audience, Justin Bieber did not show much joy after the 2016 Billboard Music Awards.
On April 23, the 22-year-old singer posted a long status on Instagram expressing her feelings. In particular, Justin Bieber said he did not feel a sense of accomplishment when he owned the award at the above awards ceremony.
Status, the Canadian male singer wrote: “Nothing but my love for you and your support. I don’t disrespect anyone on the show or the organizers but I didn’t feel great there or after. I try to think of it as a celebration but it doesn’t stop me from feeling like everyone is ranking and grading my performance.”

Justin Bieber frankly: “Such awards seem empty. Because when I look at the audience, I see a bunch of fake smiles so that when the camera pans over, they’re all happy. Surely there are people who are truly proud of someone, I don’t want to deny that but I just look at the rest… I have the honor and privilege of being recognized by my peers but here I don’t feel the recognition. The authenticity I wanted wasn’t there and I wondered if others had it.”
Faced with this confession, fans once again expressed concern for Justin Bieber. Lately it seems like he is struggling with his ego and is in a bad phase mentally. Although just last week, Justin Bieber shared with People that he was “perfectly fine”, but recent expressions show the opposite.
Justin Bieber canceled all post-performance fan meetings during his Purpose tour in March and recently announced he would never take selfies with fans again.
